Good afternoon Block Watch Participants,
I received a report that this individual has been seen going through the recycling bins in our neighborhood every second Monday morning. He starts at the mailbox at 161 St and 28B Ave and then drives his truck to 160A St and 28B Ave and goes through all the bins in the alley behind 160A St. His truck license plate is KH 1128. (See picture below).
I contacted the RCMP to find out if there was anything that could be done to prevent this from happening. Unfortunately they advised we can’t prevent people from picking through these bins and said it’s important not to leave any bottles that are worth money in the bins and to make sure to shred any important papers, or take your important papers to a secure shredding company. By doing this it should cut down on any kind of “draw” and he will eventually stop coming around as it is no longer worth his while.
The RCMP said to continue keeping an eye on him and to report any suspicious or criminal activity via the non-emergency number 604-599-0502 or for a crime in progress 9-1-1.
