2018 Wills Creek Christmas Social – Update
Wow, we did it again! Members of Wills Creek came together on Dec 2nd, for our annual Christmas Social and raised $1332.00 for our Adopt-a-Family initiative. Also collected were a number of in kind donations and food for the Surrey Food Bank. As a result of your overwhelming generosity , this year we were able to help two families in need.
Needless to say, organizing events such as the Xmas Social takes time and effort, so a special thanks goes out to the Social Committee (Colleen Jones, Cathi Smith, Connie Peters, and Kelly McElroy) who work tirelessly to organize this event and take on the subsequent task of buying gifts, and delivery of the items to the families in time for Xmas. Also thanks to Ken Smith, Eric Batut, and Dave Newbold for helping decorate the Clubhouse, as well as Bill and Albina Pederson (Pedersen Rentals) for supplying glasses and other accessories for the event, and many folks that contribute behind the scenes.
Since 2015, with your generosity, the Social Committee has raised $5732.00 and helped 7 families in need as well as contributions to Ishtar House (Women’s Resource Society).

So nicely done again – we missed being with you as we were on vacation so sending hugs. You all are so good at creating community through your events.
