The Whiterock/South Surrey Community Group on Facebook recently posted a message that bear scat has been reported in the Grandview Heights area and someone also reported hearing growling noises. It should be noted that these are unconfirmed reports and this is only reported for awareness and to be vigilant while out walking the trails. Should anyone encounter any dangerous wild animals like a bear, they are advised to keep a safe distance and call 911 or Surrey Animal Control immediately.
