The Wills Creek Social Committee hosted a Holiday Social Event at the Clubhouse on Sunday, December 4th and were very pleased with the turnout. It was nice to be able to get together again in person to celebrate the season with some familiar faces and some new folks to Wills Creek.
Once again, the residents of Wills Creek were generous in their support of our fundraising efforts. A total of $1460 was raised through our wine draw, gift card raffle, 50/50 draw, and cash donations. These funds supported three local families through the Surrey Christmas Bureau. In addition to toys and gifts for all the children, each family received a generous gift card from Superstore to be used towards their Christmas dinner. As we are all aware, the rising cost of groceries can be challenging. Each family that we helped last year has expressed their sheer gratitude and thanks for helping make the season a bit brighter for them and their children.
Last year represents the 8th year in which Wills Creek Residents have fund raised to help families in need or donated to worthy charities. With the funds raised this year, the total amount raised by your Social Committee has surpassed $13,460 and helped 20 families.
On behalf of the Wills Creek Social Committee, we would like to also say thank you to the Strata Council for your continued support of this, and all our community initiatives throughout the past year.
