I am requesting any ideas or experiences from owners with units that have ground level master bedrooms. A number of residents have been enquiring on ways to promote airflow into the bedroom which is currently not possible with the existing patio doors without compromising security. Because there are no other windows in the bedroom or in these patio door units, air flow is very restricted.
There have been some suggestions and research done which involves either removing the sealed window units in the doors and replace them with a tilt and turn double sash French door (Demonstrated), or replacing the entire unit. Either way these option would require Strata approval as it would disrupt the outer building envelope and no doubt be very costly for the home owner. Looking for any thoughts, comments or suggestions to resolve this problem. Thanks
