Attention Block Watch Members,
Surrey RCMP is currently on the scene of a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians. Details are limited as the investigation is in its infancy.
24th Avenue is closed in both directions between 148th Street and 150th Street. Buses and all traffic are being re-routed. It is expected that the road will be closed for a lengthy period of time as the Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) investigates. Police ask that all motorists plan a different route in order to avoid this traffic corridor.
One victim has substantial injuries and is being transported by Air Ambulance. The second victim has also gone to local area hospital by regular ambulance.
